random thought that I didn't want to forget:

for a hands on activity this semester, perhaps we could start a paper, glass, recycling program in DUC and pledge to pick it up ourselves.

monstrous environmental disaster yesterday in Tennesee. 500 gallons of coal slurry now flowing through the area- see Charlie's blog post on the homepage.
